Information
Unless otherwise advised by your solicitor please make all cheques payable to "Mason Baggott and Garton".

It is really helpful if you can quote "Our Reference" on the back, just so we can trace it more easily or alternatively a postal address.

Generally speaking it takes about 5 working day, from the date we pay it into the bank for a cheque to clear, even if it is a bankers draft.
Unfortunately we can only accept cash up to a limit of £500, please do not send cash in the post just pop into any of the offices.

We accept most major debit or credit cards up to a value of £5000, if you want to pay using these please give us a call or pop in to any of our offices.

From the date the transaction is taken it takes 4 working days for your payment to clear.

Unfortunately if you pay be Credit Card we need to apply a 2% charge on the total amount paid.

CHAPS payments are a way of sending us large amounts of money that clear on the same day as they are sent. They are the best way to send us money, for example a house completion. Your bank can arrange this for you, although may charge you a fee.

Please contact us if you are intending to send us money this way as we will need to advise you of our bank details. If possible ask the bank to quote "Our reference" in the "Message to Beneficiary"

BACS payments work in the same way but take 3 working days before they are credited to our account, again your bank can arrange this but may charge a fee. Please contact us if you are going to send money in this way and ask the bank to quote "Our reference".

Internet/Telephone banking is becoming increasingly popular, if you are sending us money this way please contact us to let us know you are paying us this way, and if possible quote "Our reference" in the payment details.

If your bank uses "Faster Payments" to transfer your money it will arrive in our account the same day, please check with your bank before sending the money as not all banks use this method yet.

If your bank doesn't use "Faster Payments" then it will take up to 3 working days to come into our account.
